Launch I: Superstrat vinyl shop

Superstrat, located in the Marolles, hosts studio spaces and a lovely shop putting forward young creators of all kinds. This week the store is getting a nice upgrade with its own music section featuring vinyls only. By the way, it all started with a simple Facebook group of music passionates.

Concert: Tubelight at Rockerill

Thursday, 17 September Charleroi

Tubelight, a Belgian four-piece from Diest, skillfully mixes shoegaze and psychedelic rock. After having toured quite extensively around Belgium and also the Netherlands, you can now experience them live on stage at Charleroi’s Rockerill this Thursday. Check out their debut album “Heliosphere” here.

American artist Paul Wackers is mainly known for his colorful depictions of bookshelves, window sills and house plants while mixing figurative and abstract painting styles. In a way he has managed to create his own personal version of still-life art, merging organic elements with geometric forms. At Alice gallery he presents a selection of brand new works. A must-see!

Brand new project Moss brings together two very unlikely worlds: art and hairdressing. This Friday you’re invited to the opening, where you can discover the original concept for yourself and enjoy music and art performances by Belgian collective After Howl, Creamycaro & Victor, DJ Whoo, and others.

Exhibition: Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth at The Stable

Every Sunday until 4 October the group exhibition “Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth” is open to the public, presenting works by 11 different artists. The exhibition fittingly takes place in an artist-run space called The Stable, featuring some of our favorite Belgian artists form Manor Grunewald to Jean-Baptiste Bernardet. With Joachim Coucke, Kasper Bosmans, Benoit Platéus, and many others. Worth the trip to Waregem!

Exhibition: Land Van Garage

Sunday, 20 September, 11-17h00 Ghent

“Land Van Garage” is a multifaceted group exhibition bringing art to a rather unlikely place: each artist shows his work inside a garage box. The unique concept is open for visitors for one day only and unites a great selection of 41 artists including rising talents such as Bieke Depoorter as well as Belgian painting star Michael Borremans. Not to miss!
