Classical music unfortunately still has a bit of a dusty image, making many think of stiff crowds and endless performances. Belgian initiative Origami Classics is successfully trying to increase its coolness factor with a fresh and relaxed take on classical music concerts that is tailored to a younger audience.
This Sunday, 22 May, is already this season’s last edition with “Music of the Spheres” at Beursschouwburg, and we have 2 duo tickets to give away for the occasion! It’s a performance by 22 singers of Brussels’ Royal Conservatory accompanied by pianist Philippe Navarre, and each piece will be introduced by a short scientific poem of Alexandre Wajnberg.
And if you don’t know what to do with your little ones during the concert, there’s free baby-sitting for those under 3 and workshops for the older ones.
While you’re there, do make sure to check out Beursschouwburg’s stunning rooftop terrace!
