“Buy from artists when they’re alive. Dead, they won’t care!” That’s the slogan of Nationa(a)l Artist market, an initiative set on putting forward local and 100% Belgian creation. While it provides a permanent platform for fashion, music, visual art, design, music, and books online all year long, it’s going physical this weekend.
For three days, you can dive into the local art scene by discovering creations by no less than 60 artists and cultural initiatives, from ceramic pieces inspired by endangered animals (Pieter Bostoen and Gilles Mayk Navangi) to stylish lamps entirely built from recycled plastic (Joachim Froment).
This year’s stunning venue: The historic Maison de la Poste at Tour & Taxis. Besides the market, there’ll also be Dj sets, book signings, drinks, and more.
We’re giving away 5×2 tickets for this one: just write an email to sarah@seeyouthere.be stating Artist market and your favorite Belgian artist in the subject line to enter the contest!
